qWave
(Quality Windows Audio Video Experience) A programming interface (API) from Microsoft that gives priority to audio and video streams transmitting over a wireless network. Using probes to monitor the network and the RSVP protocol to reserve bandwidth, applications must employ qWave in order to achieve the intended quality of service (QoS).
