radar coverage indicator

(engineering)
Device that shows how far a given aircraft should be tracked by a radar station, and also provides a reference (detection) range for quality control; takes into account aircraft size, altitude, screening angle, site elevation, type radar, antenna radiation pattern, and antenna tilt.
