Dondersiidae comprises nine genera and 32 species (Table 1) on the basis of a thin cuticle without skeletal sclerites or epidermal papillae (not unique to this family), and by varying combinations of characters: body with or without posterior end drawn out into fingerlike projection; with two or more types of raised (not adpressed) solid sclerites or one type of adpressed scales;
radula monostichous with two or more denticles per row, the central two fused or not fused distally, or
radula lacking; ventrolateral foregut glands as groups of extraepithelial unicellular gland cells ("follicles") or as multicellular glands ("type A"); and with or without copulatory spicules.
Radula con diente central delgado, hasta 5 [micron]m de ancho y de punta afilada.
During contraction, radular muscles push the odontophore forward and provide a solid structure against which other muscles can exert the tension necessary for rasping movements of the
radula (Yoshida and Kobayashi, 1991; Elliott and Susswein, 2002; Wentzell et al, 2009).
Whilst this taxon shares some features of early teleoconch ribbing and microsculpture with chilodontids and has a
radula somewhat atypical of trochids, the proposal of a new family in the absence of corroborating evidence from soft-part anatomy and molecular data seems premature.
australis, the larvae had 4 rows of chitinized
radula teeth, 3-4 buds on the cephalic tentacles, and an effective accumulative temperature of 1820[degrees] C-hours.
Radula and external anatomy: Unknown except for some brief comments on the external anatomy made by A.
Radula wrote in a search warrant affidavit for the car.
californica, ingestion and egestion feeding behavior are 2 types of motor activities shown to be controlled by APGW-amide, both of which are modulated by 2 sets of
radula movements: protraction retraction and opening-closing movements (Jing & Weiss 2001).
Because members of the Pulmonata as well as most of the outgroup taxa do not have a uniserial
radula, which was acquired for suctorial feeding, this character state would be one of the synapomorphies of the Sacoglossa (including Cylindrobulla).
Radula: Formula [infinity]+3+1+3+[infinity], with ca 70 transverse rows of teeth; similar to that of P.
Radula said investigators were trying to determine whether the man, who was found unconscious outside the three-decker, jumped or fell nearly 30 feet to the ground from a narrow section of pitched roof.
columbiana, in addition to protecting itself from sea stars, may also use its proboscis and
radula against other snails.
