BiAsO4 A gray mineral consisting of bismuth arsenate; occurs as thin botryoidal crusts.

He discovered several other new minerals in Bolivia including ahlfeldite (below), herzenbergite, rooseveltite, hochschildite and souxite, although the latter two are not currently accepted by the IMA as valid species.
Occurrence: Associated minerals are: quartz, nickeline, bismuth, bunsenite, aerugite, xanthiosite, rooseveltite and two probably new arsenate minerals.
Occurrence: At the type locality, the mineral occurs on quartz and associated minerals are: Ba-bearing alumopharmacosiderite, barium-pharmacosiderite, arseniosiderite, zeunerite, olivenite, rooseveltite, Co-bearing mawbyite, Co-dominant tsumcorite, waylandite and scorodite.
He discovered several new species in Bolivia (including rooseveltite), but some of them described purely in chemical terms were later discredited.
