(1) A set of commands that are executed by the operating system or application. A script is typically saved as a separate file but not always. For example, scripts in spreadsheets ("macros") are stored within the spreadsheet (see macro language). See command processor, batch file, PowerShell and AppleScript.

(2) A program written in a general-purpose interpreted programming language. See scripting language and interpreter.

(3) A typeface that looks like handwriting.

(4) The stack-based language embedded in Bitcoin transactions. See Bitcoin Script.
