secondary consequent stream

(hydrology)
A tributary of a subsequent stream, flowing parallel to or down the same slope as the original consequent stream; it is usually developed after the formation of a subsequent stream, but in a direction consistent with that of the original consequent stream. Also known as subconsequent stream.
