sectional radiography
[′sek·shən·əl ‚rād·ē′äg·rə·fē] (electronics)
The technique of making radiographs of plane sections of a body or an object; its purpose is to show detail in a predetermined plane of the body, while blurring the images of structures in other planes. Also known as laminography; planigraphy; tomography.
