Wesley Dryden, 11, was third in the
sparring while Callum Dillon, also 11, earned third in the forms and fourth in the
sparring.
Connor Murphy, eight, made a valiant effort in the boys green belt
sparring division, but unfortunately ranked just outside the medals in fourth place.
Clare Matthews, 5th Dan, dominated both of her events in veterans
sparring and patterns taking double gold medals.
Daniel Robinson was a golden boy in
sparring and also secured silver in patterns and special technik.
Other Medal winners from Wishaw TABG were: Janice Steel (bronze ladies' executive
sparring division), Chloe McGregor (bronze ladies' green belt
sparring division) and James Festorazzi (bronze red belt men's team event).
Seven-year-old Kacey Roberts won bronze in both the
sparring and tag team events, with Harvey Fielder winning a gold in
sparring and a bronze in tag team.
Groves added: "He wasn't a threat to anyone coming through so he got good-quality
sparring.
Younger brother Saad Jaffery (9) fought well to take silver in yellow/green belt
sparring; and the siblings earned further silver medals in the tag team
sparring event.
Pacquiao, boxing's only eight-division World champion, looked slow in the first two rounds of his
sparring sessions but immediately turned up the ante when he faced up against Mexican Adrian Young.
Faris Ullan, meanwhile, had double success in the White Belt (beginners) section, finishing first in
sparring and first in patterns.
The WBO lightweight champion even has some of his
sparring partners mimic Vazquez's style to help hone his technique.
