The funnel extending about 0.5° above and below the glide path and +/− 2° of the PAR (precision approach radar) centerline within which an aircraft is not advised by the PAR controller monitoring the ILS (instrument landing system) approach. If the pilot is within the specific-approach funnel, he or she is executing the approach within safe limits and thus no advice is required.
