The synthesis models began calculating the luminosity (in a broad band filter or as a SED, [F.sub.[lambda]]([lambda]) or by using the spectral absorption indices) for a generation of stars created simultaneously, (therefore, with a same age, r, and with a same metallicity, Z), that is, the so-called single
stellar population (SSP).
We propose that interactions with previously stripped material may be accelerating the transition from actively star forming to passively evolving systems dominated by an old
stellar population.
The factors that contribute to this mediocre ranking are relatively high levels of overall health spending, less than
stellar population health outcomes, and relatively poor access to care among those lacking health insurance.
M dwarfs like L 98-59 account for three-quarters of our Milky Way galaxy's
stellar population. But they are no larger than about half the Sun's mass and are much cooler, with surface temperatures less than 70% of the Sun's.
Today, with a
stellar population in the many hundreds of thousands, an estimated 3,000 stars of at least 3 solar masses, and perhaps 20,000 solar masses concentrated in its core, the R136 cluster is the densest concentration of stars in the Local Group.
