subpixel

One part of a color pixel. Three subpixels (one red, one green and one blue) make up one pixel. See pixel, ppi and LCD subpixels.

Next, the estimation is refined by using a subpixel resolution algorithm in the grayscale image.

Note that we use the parabola fit here not to obtain subpixel disparities, but rather to reconstruct the minimum DSI value, i.e., the actual smallest matching cost in the vicinity of the sampled value.
