This crisis is reflected in the rise of discourses of risk (especially those related to health and the environment), in the deterritorialisation of political, economic and social concerns beyond the level of the nation state and in the rise of 'subpolitics' which is based on the articulation of individual concerns, life projects and identities rather than large scale social and political organisation centred on the nation state and collective identities.
