suction gauge and a length of plastic tubing, to connect it to the engine's inlet manifold; then to drive keeping the pointer in the green sector to reduce fuel consumption!
IN the 1960s we were all encouraged to fit a colour coded (red/amber/green) suction gauge to our cars, and connect it (via a small bore pipe) to the engine's inlet manifold, then to drive keeping the pointer in the green sector (max suction) to save fuel.
These meters, like those suction gauges, will simply tell us what we already know: 'the more heat an appliance generates the more it is costing you', twelve words that will save us money that didn't cost us a single penny.
