In the GHC building, a single VAV
terminal unit contains around 20 data points.
Although some input parameters required by EnergyPlus can be calculated from airflow and power data over a range of static pressures provided by manufacturers, the inconsistency between the data provided by industry and the input required by the modeling community can cause confusion and difficulties in modeling
terminal unit fan performance in EnergyPlus.
Using this index, the researchers were able to confirm that
terminal unit geometry increases entrainment performance.

The back draft damper at the
terminal unit fan outlet is closed to prevent the cold primary air from escaping through the secondary air inlet.
Heating and cooling equipment fans, heating and cooling circulation pumps, and
terminal unit fans shall cycle off and
terminal unit primary cooling air shall be shut off when there is no call for heating or cooling in the zone.
Mounted on a pole or wall at the scale platform, the field-configurable FB3000 II remote
terminal unit allows drivers to enter information without exiting their vehicles.
The lab is divided into zones 1 and 2 based on
terminal units 1 and 2 and warehouse is divided into zones 3 and 4 based on
terminal unit 3 and 4.
Eliminating the need for signal wire connections at the master and thereby reducing costs, the FGR2-IOS delivers data from remote analog and digital devices over a wireless link to a remote
terminal unit (RTU) or programmable logic controller (PLC).
Treating FPTUs as an independent system, the empirical approach estimates the airflow and
terminal unit fan power based on the input of static pressures, damper positions, and fan speed settings.
One believed that parallel FPTUs used less energy because the
terminal unit fans ran intermittently.
