where [Q.sub.jl] is the throttled flow, [Q.sub.ys] is the compressed flow, [Q.sub.xl] is the leakage flow, and [Q.sub.z] is the total flow.
In characteristic parameters, the dynamic viscosity [mu] affected the throttled flow [Q.sub.jl] and the throttled flow [Q.sub.jl] increased with [mu] declining according to function (18).
To simulate
throttled flow, the valves were actuated to the half-open position followed by the application of a 1/2- to 1-second burst of pressurized argon at 50 psig.
As the
throttled flow drops below the capacity of the screw pumps, the PLC signals the gate to reopen in increments, until the pump capacity is matched once again, or the gate is fully open.
