tipping and most people agree that it should not be socially mandatory.
"So I always ensure that I give the workers 20 per cent of the total amount I have paid for any service." As the service industry is not paying high despite a recent increase in the cost of services,
tipping some 10-15 per cent would be highly appreciated by the poor workers, she added.

However, these developments are just the latest round in a recurrent debate over the advantages and disadvantages of
tipping. Similar experiments with no-tipping policies and restaurant industry calls for the elimination of
tipping occurred in the 1980s when a series of new laws increased restaurants' responsibilities for paying taxes on tip income.
As the TripAdvisor etiquette guide says "the delivery driver would obviously appreciate a pound", but "if you pick up the food from the takeaway restaurant,
tipping would be inappropriate.
"This is putting a new social pressure on customers," says Michael Lynn, a professor at Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, who studies
tipping. "It's up to me to leave the change in the tip jar, or not.
An empirical investigation of the clothing variable can confirm clothing amount as a determinant of uniform sexiness that directly impacts consumer behavior on
tipping. It is surmised that uniform sexiness increases as the amount of skin revealed increases.

tipping decision should be based on reason but is often spur-of-the moment and intuitive.
