citrana Fernald (orange tortrix), are found in North America.
citrana (orange tortrix) was found damaging to avocados in California as a minor pest, the larvae feed on the bark of green twigs, on terminal buds, and foliage, after webbing the leaves together, and the fruit resulted damaged if a fruit and a leaf came together (Ebeling & Pence 1957).
On our orange tortrix sites, we monitor first by checking buds in early spring, then later we look for leaves that appear rolled and webbed, and finally, we check clusters in late spring and summer for movement into the cluster.
A separate sheet was generated for orange tortrix and a sheet for lab results.
