Other devices included Leica TC1800 electronic tachymeter, a micrometric table, a surveying tripod, three-axis photographic head--Manfrotto 405 Geared Head, geodetic tripod for engineering purposes with a jib, two
tribrachs, two targets and the observation pillar.
The measurements are conducted in the Laboratory on the observation pillar equipped with the
tribrach. By inserting the next plates under the base of the plummet the location of the optic fibre is inclined.
One part originates in the near vicinity of the antenna (pillar/tripod,
tribrach, mounting adapter, station marker, antenna ground plane, etc.), second part comes from more distant reflections.
One part is invoked by the near field of the antenna (pillar/tripod,
tribrach, adapter, marker, ground plane, etc.), second part comes from environment.
The traditional survey tool is a "total station," which is a conventional survey system with an instrument usually referred to as a gun, plus required prisms, poles, tripods, batteries, and tripod-mounted levels called
tribrachs. Until recently, the Army version of this set was the Geodimeter[R] Automated Integrated Survey Instrument (AISI) 444.
