velocity spectrograph

(physics)
A mass spectrograph in which only positive ions having a certain velocity pass through all three slits and enter a chamber where they are deflected by a magnetic field in proportion to their charge-to-mass ratio. Also known as velocity-focusing mass spectrograph.
