The IAF's Su-30 MKI than enthralled the audience with a
Vertical Charlie, zooming up into the sky and disappearing from sight.
There was the grandeur of the roaring and splitting of Mig-29 jets and the gravity-defying
vertical charlie by single Su-30 apart during the show but it was the manoeuvres, including rolls and loops, of the indigenously-built Tejas light combat aircraft that was the show-stopper.
The ultimate act was reserved for the end when a sole Sukhoi made a thunderous entry into the parade airspace at 900 kmph and climbing straight out in a standing position with nose up, completing a perfect trademark
vertical Charlie manoeuvre.
Sukhoi 30 MKI will be the last to flypast at 900 kmph over the water channel north of Rajpath and it will perform two- and- ahalf turns "
Vertical Charlie" manoeuvre.
The fly past will conclude with another Sukhoi Su-30 MKI carrying out a
Vertical Charlie manoeuvre over the saluting dais.

A Sukhoi aircraft carrying out a
Vertical Charlie manoeuvre followed this.
The breathtaking Trishul formation comprising three Su-30 MKI would fly over the Rajpath and once in front of the saluting dais the Su-30MKI aircraft at the centre would carry out a
Vertical Charlie manoeuvre.
One Sukhoi aircraft of the formation then carried out four turn in
Vertical Charlie manoeuvre.
