virtual dedicated server

virtual dedicated server

An entire server in a cloud provider's datacenter that is used by one customer. A virtual dedicated server (VDS) is typically an infrastructure as a service (IaaS) offering. Contrast with virtual private server. See virtual machine and cloud computing.
