Whenever there is water on the runway, a description of the runway surface conditions on the center half of the width of the runway, including the possible assessment of water depth, should be made using the following terms:
i. Damp runway. A runway whose surface shows a change in color caused by moisture.
ii. Wet runway. A runway whose surface is soaked but there is no standing water.
iii. Water patches. A runway surface on which there are significant patches of standing water visible.
iv. Flooded runway. A runway that has extensive standing water visible on its surface.
