In the pattern of trajectory wave radiation, the wave path does not show the generated distribution of
wave height, but the result of the wave distribution is shown by the contour of shading which is overlaid with the spreading of wave trajectory.
Specifically, they investigated the effect of
wave height (in terms of wave steepness, [H.sub.s]/[L.sub.p], being [H.sub.s] the significant wave and [L.sub.p] the wavelength corresponding to the peak period), wave period (in terms of relative water depth, d/[L.sub.p]), and surf similarity parameter ([xi]) on the reflection coefficient ([K.sub.r]).
Experimental design An experiment to estimate the performance of the survey trawl at various levels of
wave height was conducted in the EBS from 14 through 25 September 2003 aboard the chartered 38-m commercial stern trawler FV Vesteraalen.
In addition a maximum difference was observed in main line stress under 1 m [s.sup.-1] water current velocity and 2 m
wave height conditions, reaching a 59% decrease in stress magnitude (Table 3).
The main focus of this study is to investigate the uncertainties in
wave height modeling and its application in offshore engineering.
To verify the effectiveness and accuracy of numerical wave generation and dissipation approaches presented in Section 2, a regular wave with
wave height 2.5 m and period of 6 s is applied as the target wave.
The water depth at breaking measured under the wave crest is denoted as [h.sub.b] and the corresponding solitary
wave height at breaking is denoted as [H.sub.b].
(2011) found a significant global increase in wind speed and
wave height. The trends are, however, different in different parts of the ocean and for various parameters of wave fields.
Mork (1996) conducted experiments on hyperborea kelp beds in the coast of Norway that showed attenuation of more than 60% of
wave height. Tschirky et al.
The speed of wind will be moderate and sometimes raises dust in some internal areas and the
wave height is average, it added.
DNV GL verified that the hydraulic stage of the Power Take-Off (PTO) showed excellent performance and electricity was generated even in very mild conditions of about 1m significant
wave height.
In shallow water region, waves start breaking in certain ratio of the
wave height to the water depth (Iversen [1]).
