webloc

(WEB LOCation) A file that contains a URL to a website. Weblocs are URL shortcuts created by the Web browser by highlighting and dragging the Web address currently in the address bar onto the desktop or into a folder. Clicking the webloc retrieves the website. If the browser is not already opened, the webloc launches it.
