A dialect of the LISP programming language geared to multithreading and concurrency. Introduced in 2007 and created by Rich Hickey, who also developed dotLisp, Clojure is executed in Java Virtual Machine (JVM), .NET Common Language Runtime (CLR) and JavaScript runtime engines.
