Computer Time

Computer Time

 

(also machine time), the time required for an electronic computer to complete a certain set of computational operations. To calculate computer time, the useful operational time of the computer is taken as a percentage or as the average number of hours of operation per 24-hour period. Computer time is a basic indicator in determining charges for the services rendered by a computer center.
