Firefox OS
An earlier Linux-based open source operating system from the Mozilla project. Firefox OS ran HTML5-based Web applications and came with a set of default apps that were part of its Gaia user interface. Introduced in 2012, several smartphones were released with Firefox OS as well as certain Panasonic UHD TV models. In late 2016, the Firefox OS project was disbanded. See HTML5 and Firefox. |
