(GNU Privacy Guard) The Free Software Foundation (FSF) equivalent of Pretty Good Privacy (PGP). Based on the OpenPGP standard, encrypted GnuPG data can be decrypted by PGP and vice versa. See PGP, OpenPGP and GNU General Public License.
