Google Web Toolkit

Google Web Toolkit

An open source software development kit (SDK) from Google for creating browser-based applications. Introduced in 2006, Google Web Toolkit (GWT) is used by many developers, as well as Google for some of its own applications. The app is programmed in Java, and the GWT cross compiler converts the Java to JavaScript for embedding in Web pages. GWT also supports the AJAX framework for creating smooth Web interaction (see AJAX). A GUI builder is also part of the toolkit. See Google.
