Java Card
An application software platform from Oracle for smart cards based on a subset of the Java programming language. Using an optimized bytecode to save space, several Java applets can be stored in the smart card, and new ones can be added after issuance to the customer.
Classic and Connected Versions
The Classic Edition is the standard Java Card environment, while the Connected Edition supports connectivity to Web services and network interaction.
