KnowledgeMan

KnowledgeMan

An earlier application development system for DOS, OS/2, VMS and Unix environments from Micro Data Base Systems, Inc., Lafayette, IN (www.mdbs.com). It included an RDBMS, object-based 4GL programming and integrated functions, allowing, for example, database queries to update spreadsheets or results to be embedded in text documents. In the mid-1990s, KnowledgeMan's features and functionality were folded into Micro Data Base's GURU product line that included a 32-bit database engine with the advanced features of an expert system.
