(3) (Message Handling Service) An earlier Novell messaging system that supported multiple operating systems and messaging protocols, including SMTP, SNADS and X.400. Using the SMF-71 messaging format, Standard MHS ran on a DOS machine attached to the server, while Global MHS ran as a NetWare NLM.
