Non-system disk error or disk error

A DOS error message. The full message is

Non-system disk or disk errorReplace and press any key when ready

This usually meant a non-bootable floppy was in drive A. DOS looked for the OS on a floppy before the hard disk. If an ordinary floppy was in drive A at startup, it caused this error.
