cornsilk

Cornsilk is that silky hair-like stuff that covers corn on a cob (maize). Cornsilk juice is a powerful and effective diuretic, very effective in all sorts of kidney related problems (inflammation of the bladder, urinary tract infection, painful urination). Lessens bedwetting when taken several hours before sleep. Helps prostate inflammation, water retention, bloating whether due to kidney problems or PMS. Also used for cystitis, gonorrhea, rheumatism and heart problems. (remember, kidney are heart are connected) Cornsilk is a rich source of vitamin K which makes it useful in controlling bleeding. Also available as a powder, but if you can get the fresh kind, it’s better. Amazing isn’t it, how every part of nature has a use !
