email signature

The text used at the end of an email message that includes data such as the sender's full name, title and telephone numbers. Both local and Web-based email programs offer a signature option, which automatically places the text at the end of every message. A signature in the form of an image rather than text is sometimes an option. See email footer and boilerplate.
