(1) For superimposing images onto a background, see color key.
(2) A computer terminal that displays green characters on a dark background. Widely used in the early days of mainframes and minicomputers, as well as in the days of DOS, the character-based green screen gave way to the graphics-based interfaces of Windows and Mac.

Green screen
A welded trellis system that has a captive growing space that is 3 inches deep to allow plants to intertwine and grow within the panel. Made from recycled steel, it is an adaptable clip system that can attach to a building facade and span openings between floors or horizontally between posts.
