intraframe coding
intraframe coding
In video recording, compressing each video frame as a single entity. With intraframe coding, each frame is independent of the previous one, and although intraframe (in-tra) takes up more storage space than interframe (in-ter) coding, it allows for the most flexibility when editing the original material. Contrast with interframe coding.
