(oracle, database, storage)
A logical unit of storage, used by an Oracle database, that is made up of one or more operating system files. Each table, index or other object that requires storage is located on a tablespace.

The database administrator typically assigns a default and a temporary tablespace to each user and grants a quota on each so they can create tables and indexes.
