The directional control of in-flight aircraft through transmission of bearing and altitude instructions from the ground.

aircraft vectoring

The directional control of in-flight aircraft through transmission of azimuth headings. Aircraft may be vectored in for landing or it may be vectored onto the enemy aircraft as a part of air interception.
