Korsakoff's syndrome [′kȯr·sə‚kȯfs ‚sin‚drōm] (psychology) A form of amnesic-confabulatory syndrome characterized by confusion, loss of memory, retrograde amnesia with compensatory confabulation, and polyneuritis; seen in chronic alcoholism and other cases of vitamin B deficiency.
