| Histopathologic changes in the form of interstitial inflammation
and alveolitis have been observed in cotton rats and mice infected with
hMPV (28). The alveolitis was predominantly histiocyric,
although lesser numbers of neutrophils and/or eosinophils were sometimes
observed. The
following additional adverse experience, which occurred at an incidence
of at least 2% of patients treated with VIOXX, was observed in the
post-dental pain surgery studies: post-dental extraction alveolitis (dry
socket). |
