Most of the ecstacy users in their sample (N=329) used other drugs in combination with ecstasy, including tobacco, cannabis, amphetamine, alcohol, LSD, amyl nitrate and nitrous oxide.
Although the version of the drug widely used during the 1970s and '80s, amyl nitrate, can no longer be obtained legally, other versions have been enjoying increased popularity.
