Charles Aug, the man hailed for creating the concept of retail
brokerage, died September 1, 2006, after a battle with the rare bone
disease, Amyloidosis. Patients may also present with
lymphadenopathy, splenomegaly, hyperviscosity syndrome,
cryoglobulinemia, peripheral neuropathy, cold agglutinin hemolysis,
autoimmune thrombocytopenia, von Willebrand's disease and, in rare
cases, amyloidosis. Restaurantdom has lost its most
heralded African-American chef, Patrick Clark, who died in New York
recently at the early age of 42 of heart complications and a disorder
called amyloidosis. |
