aquarelle (ăk'wərĕl`): see watercolor painting watercolor painting, in its wider sense, refers to all pigments mixed with water rather than with oil and also to the paintings produced by this process; it includes fresco and tempera as well as aquarelle, the process now commonly meant by the generic term.

Delius's Two Aquarelles are beautiful miniatures, string arrangements of the two unaccompanied partsongs - "to be sung of a summer's night on the water". HAIEYEMake-up artist Frances Hannon started with Chanel Quadra eye shadow in Aquarelles, brushing the lighter blue shade on the lower lids and using the darker blue at the outer edge and along the crease, to make her eyes look bigger. |
