Mathematician Sir Roger Penrose of Oxford University has sued Kimberly-Clark, which makes Kleenex quilted toilet paper, for using the Penrose Arrowed Rhombi Tilings pattern, a series of geometric figures that Penrose devised in 1970. The figure is a map of the southern Pacific region, showing a number of unlabelled islands with arrowed lines looping between them. |
