Waxy fruit has star shape when cut in slices. Entire fruit is edible, including the waxy skin. Juicy insides are tart, sour. Tastes like mix of apple, pear and citrus. High vitamin C, antioxidants, beta-carotene, fiber, anti-microbial. Useful for blood pressure, vision, cholesterol. Contains oxalic acid, avoid if you have kidney problems.
