Bagassosis

bagassosis [‚bag·ə′sō·səs]
(medicine)
A pneumoconiosis caused by the inhalation of bagasse dust, a dry sugarcane residue. Also known as bagasse disease.

Bagassosis 

a disease of the lungs arising as a result of systematic inhalation of the dust of bagasse (a waste product of sugar cane). Bagassosis may afflict workers employed in the production of insulation construction materials, such as cardboard, in the production of which bagasse is used.
