It can be shipped as a bare chip for use in SiP (System in Package), MCP (Multi-chip Package) and other multi-layer packages or it can be packaged for a PoP (Package on Package) configuration to enable space-saving features.
Its lineup is composed of a bare chip, an arrayed chip, a Chip On Submount (COS) and a Transmitter Optical Sub Assembly (TOSA) and would satisfy a variety of customers' demands.
Specifically, the high-frequency filter is now embedded into the multi-layered substrate while the flash memory, as a bare chip, is mounted in a cavity on the bottom of the substrate.
