A beamy 33-foot cruiser had been tied in the middle of a canal in Punta Gorda, FL, for example, with four 5/8-inch dock lines (probably the boat's working dock lines) broke loose and destroyed four other boats.
While these are expensive boats they offer considerably more room than even a modern beamy sloop of this size.
