(1) A person who writes Weblogs. See blog.

(2) (Blogger) A Web site launched in 1999 from Pyra Labs, San Francisco, CA (www.blogger.com) that provides the tools for creating blogs (Weblogs). After users select a pre-designed template or create one with their look and feel, every posting entered on Blogger is published to the Blogger page on their Web site automatically. In early 2003, Blogger was acquired by Google.

In 2005, Blogger Mobile was introduced, allowing users to post photos and text messages via mobile phones. Audioblogging is another feature. After signing up, users can call a number, speak, and the sound file goes to their blog. See blog and splog.

Predefined Templates
With a set of page templates already designed and ready to go, the Blogger Web site makes it easy for the first-time blogger to create a blog with a professional look.
